How it works →Do I need a university email?
No. Adults 18+ can create an account with any email address they can verify. Open the verification link to choose a password and finish setup. School email verification remains optional and confirms inbox access, not enrollment or identity.
Is Sublyst free?
Accounts, listing publication and applications are currently free. There is no automatic billing. Any future paid listing service would require a separate, clearly priced purchase.
What happens after I submit a listing?
It enters Pending review. An administrator can approve it, request changes or decline it with a reason. Editing a published listing takes it out of public browsing until the update is approved.
Does approval mean a property is verified?
No. Admin review is a publication check, not a property inspection, identity check or guarantee. Verify the property, landlord permission and agreement before paying anyone.
Where can I find or offer a sublease?
Sublyst supports stays of at least 30 nights in supported U.S. states. Alaska, Pennsylvania, DC and U.S. territories are not currently supported. Check the listing rules and local requirements before posting.
Can I save a listing and come back later?
Yes. Use the heart on a listing to save it to your account. Your saved places stay together so you can compare dates, rent and details before applying.
Can I save my own listing as a draft?
Yes. Add your listing details and choose Save draft. It stays private in My listings until you submit it for review. Saving a draft does not publish it.
Can I look for a place with someone else?
Yes. Use the bedrooms and bathrooms filters, and compare the space offered in each listing. Ask the Host about occupancy, the people already living there and whether the space fits everyone who plans to move in.
